Evelyn D. Zelmon


Surrounded by her family, Evelyn D. Zelmon, 81, passed away at Belle Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle, on March 9, 2009.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, David and Mojgan Zelmon, her daughter and son-in-law, Helene and Charles Fenger, and her grandson, Jordan Fenger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Zelmon.

Mrs. Zelmon was born in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to Newburgh, New York where she was a school librarian. She was an avid lover of language, music and art and she instilled that love in her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother and made everyone's lives better simply by being part of them. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Project Read, c/o Sinclair Community College, 444 West Third Street, Bldg 6, Rm 121, Dayton, Ohio, 45402.
