Roger G. Wilkerson

Roger G. "Wilkie" Wilkerson, 72, of Springfield, Ohio passed away in his residence. He was born in Springfield, Ohio July 23, 1936 a son of Charles B. C. and Mary (Matthews) Wilkerson.

He was a retired employee of Navistar International. "Wilkie" loved roller skating and was a member of the Pirates Skating Club.

He is survived by a son; Gerald (Monica) Davis of Springfield, Ohio, two daughters; Marcelle Harris and Leslie Abdulluh both of Springfield, Ohio, four sisters; Mary Wilkerson, Joan Bailum, Peggy Bray and Sondra Dalton and a brother; Delvin Harshaw all of Springfield, Ohio, two aunts; Josephine Howard and Mabel James, special friends; Robert White and Madell "Oates" Warfield, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

"Wilkie" was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Frederick, Delaney and Ronald Wilkerson and grandson; Chauncy Harris.

Friends may call in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Monday December 29, 2008 until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. with Rev. William Crawford officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1745 York Street. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
