Rev. Jack L. Womacks

Rev. Jack L. Womacks, 72, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2009.

He was born in Springfield on December 27, 1936 the son of the late Clifford and Mildred (Coffman) Womacks.

Jack served as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for 29 years.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey and his sister, Joyce Ganshiemer.

His survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Nancy A. (McCombs) Womacks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Sherrie Womacks of Springfield and TSgt. Scott and May Womacks stationed in Tokyo, Japan; four grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Jedd, and Sean; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Clifford and Deanne Womacks and James and Jackie Womacks, all of Springfield; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the High St. Church of the Nazarene.

A celebration of Jack's life will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Bret Layton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nazarene Missions International, c/o High St. Church of the Nazarene, 1625 E. High St., Springfield, Ohio 45505.
