Homer B. Weaver


Homer B. Weaver, 84, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Friday February 27, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 28, 1925 in Miami County the son of the late Clarence & Verta (Wright) Weaver.

Homer was a graduate of Newton High School and was a Merchant Marine veteran of WWII. He was a member of the West Charleston Church of the Brethren.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen (Artz) Weaver; two sons, Gary & Pat Weaver of Troy, Ohio, John & Tammy Weaver of Tipp City; a daughter, Kathy (Weaver) & Ralph Pickering of Westfield, Indiana; granddaughter, Laree Blazer of Brownsburg, Indiana; two grandsons, Tyler Weaver of Carlsbad, California and Jordan Weaver of Tipp City; a brother, Herbert Weaver, and a sister, Margery Weaver both of West Milton; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Weaver.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday March 1, 2009 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Burt Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery.
