Frances Grace Walls


Frances Grace Walls, 85, beloved mother, grand mother and great grand mother, was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, June 11, 2008.

She was born September 10, 1922 in Mishawaka, Indiana the daughter of Jay A. and Maude (Jodan) Martin.

Mrs. Walls was a long time member of Oakland Presbyterian Church. She was a volunteer at Community Hospital, was a member of the M. O. G. A. Club, had volunteered with the P. T. A. at Reid School and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Mrs. Walls was an avid reader and truly enjoyed the Clark County Library. She had been employed at Sears Catalog Telephone Sales for 20 years. Mrs. Walls was very devoted to her family and will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include five children; Kenneth M. (Peggy A.)Walls, Gail Anne Palmer, Janet (Fred) Mundey all of Springfield, Alan Lee (Sue Elaine) Walls, DeGraff, Donald L. (Mira) Walls, Springfield, grandchildren; Shawn (Debbie) Walls, Andrew Walls, Jill Tyson, Jennifer (Dave) Bostick, Philip Scott Williams, Christine Marie (Jim) Bayes, Angela Renae (Ron) Simonton, Brian Mundey, Eric Mundey, Jarrod Alan Walls, Ashlie (Jack) May, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, one brother; Glen Martin, Westville, Indiana, one sister in law Catherine Martin, Mishawaka, Indiana, several nieces and nephews, and special friends Lucille Dill and Mildred Stoner.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd A. Walls August 7, 1978, her parents, a brother Donald Martin, and a great grand daughter Katelyn Walls.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in Oakland Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom Martin officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
