Chaunte R. Wilson


Chaunte R. Wilson, 30 of Springfield went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 8, 2008.

She was born January 14, 1978 a daughter of Edward Wilson and Geraldine Riggins- (Jerry) Richmond.

Chaunte is survived by her son; Fred J. Almon Jr. and two children that she helped rear; Shardonay Johnson and DeChaunte Jackson, three sisters; Angela Jackson and Aubrey Wilson all of Springfield, Ohio and Jasmine Oliver of Florence, Kentucky, four brothers; Antonio Wilson, John Jackson and Sean Wilson all of Springfield, Ohio and Ricarlos (Shawnita) Brantley of Ft. Campbell. Kentucky, two stepfathers; John Weaver and Ronald Harris both of Springfield, Ohio, two grandmothers; Minnie Riggins and Willa Richmond, dear cousins; Jana, Martia, Erika, Jeleisa, Helen, Gina, Marcus and Maceo, special friends; Kyra, Rochelle, Tashawna, Sally, CT, Lamar, Spanky, Mr. Morris and a host of other relatives and friends.

Chaunte was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather; Will O. Riggins Sr., paternal grandmother; Georgia M. Wilson, aunt; Helen Riggins and uncle; George L. Trapp.

Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon-2 p.m. in the Original Church of God, 1909 Clay Street. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Richard Roe Jr. officiating. Burial in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements are provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
