Betty L. Wright


Betty L. Wright, 81, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died at 2:57 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009, in Community Hospital. She was born in Springfield on August 22, 1927, the daughter of William and Della (Bandy) Rowe.

She was a member of Central Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John F. Wright; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and J. Roger Stambaugh; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Junior West all of Springfield; two granddaughters and spouses, Jennifer and Jeff Hennig and Kathy and Dan Thornsberry; four great grandchildren, Justin and Joey Hennig, Andy and Sara Thornsberry and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Rowe, Jr. and her sister, Evelyn McDonald.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Reihing and Mr. Allen Ault officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
