William L. Truman


William L. "Bill" Truman, 68 of Springfield, passed away at 10:16 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born May 24, 1939 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Ralph and Bernice (Skinner) Truman.

Bill was a horse groomer for most of his life.

Survivors include one son; William Truman Jr., seven grandchildren, two sisters; Sharie Truman and Linda (George) Nokes, Springfield, one brother; Edward Truman, Springfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; David, Donald, Kenneth and John and sisters; Millie, Margie, Mary, Barbara, Shirley and Cathy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor James Martin officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
