Michael D. Tuttle


Michael D. Tuttle, 59, of Lake City, Tennessee and formerly of Springfield, passed peacefully September 1, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 12, 1949 the son of William D. and Wallace M. (Slover) Tuttle.

Mike served his country as a Green Beret in the U. S. Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam.

He is survived by his longtime devoted companion, Linda Smith and her son, Louie; his mother, Wallace M. Tuttle of Springfield; son, Michael "Donathan" Tuttle Jr. of California; sister, Tina (Bruce) Gordon of Springfield; nephew, Ian Juneau of Springfield; special cousins, Jim (Lulu) Martin, Delaine (Gene) McGhee, and Tony (Melissa) Martin, all of Tennessee; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Mike's funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Rich Pettibone officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
