Florence Etta Trimmer


Florence Etta Trimmer, age 105, of Springfield, OH, peacefully departed this life in her home of 84 years at Ten 'til Three, the afternoon of Thursday, April 24, 2008.

She was born on November 15, 1902, in St. Paris, OH, the daughter of Fred and Sovilla (Hart) Wade and lived her early life in Kingscreek and Urbana, OH.

She was married to Raymond O. "Bud" Trimmer, Sr. of Springfield for 29 years before he preceded her in death. She was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church, currently located on Burnett Road, Springfield, OH. Florence lived her life well and left a rich legacy for her family. She was kind and had a servant's heart, preferring others before herself. She was a student of God's Word and wrote extensively on her thoughts and meditations regarding the Scripture. Her life was a life of prayer and she always believed the best in people. Her conversation uplifted and amused the the hearer. Florence devoted herself to her family, friends, and many others in her church and neighborhood. We were blessed to have her in our lives and we will surely miss her.

She is survived by two children, Geraldine "Jerri" Judy of Venice, Florida, Myland (Rita) Trimmer of Huber Heights, OH; daughter-in-law Betty Jane Trimmer of Springfield; 11 grandchildren, Deborah Switzer, Valerie (Michael) Trimmer-Whipp, Rol Trimmer, Jr., David (Mary Ellen) Judy, Judo (Bonnie) Judy, Kenneth Judy, Lori (Michael) Gillam, Steven (Shawn) Judy, Lorraine (Tony) Roberts, Randall (Cathy) Trimmer and Cheryl Crosley; 25 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews, and special friend and loving caregiver, Pearl Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Rolland Trimmer, Sr., step-son and wife Raymond and Phyllis Trimmer, Jr., son-in-law Manford Judy II, brothers and sisters Ethel Cotrell, Clarence Wade, Clyde Wade, William Clay Wade and Helen Fleming.

Family to receive friends Tuesday from 11AM. to 1PM. at the First Assembly of God Church, 515 S. Burnett Road, Springfield, OH. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM. in the church with Rev. Ron Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family is being served by the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
