Charles L. Trago


Charles L. Trago, 72 of Springfield, passed away on July 3, 2008 in the St. John's Center.

He was born on April 20, 1936 in Flora, Illinois the son of Charles E. and Evelyn (Stopher) Trago.

He served our country in the United States Air Force for nine years and retired from Navistar on June 1, 1997 after twenty-eight years of service.

He is survived by two daughters, Karen and Sharon, one son Kevin, step daughter and son-in-law , Cheryl and Steve Schultz of California, and step son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Teresa Baker of New Carlisle; one sister, Helen Shriver of Mt. Pulaski, Illinois, one brother, Tom Trago of Mt. Pulaski, Illinois, two step grandchildren: Jenny and Danny Baker.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Trago on March 26, 2007, and two brothers, Kenneth and Robert.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank the 3rd Floor staff of Mercy St. John's Center for all their hard work, compassion, and loving care that they gave Charles during his final years.
