Versie M. Lewis-Stewart, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born on January 11, 1928 in Elliot County, Kentucky the daughter of Lewis and Peachie (Click) Clevenger.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Jeri Lewis, step son, Ronald Stewart all of Springfield, one sister, Nancy Click of West Liberty, Kentucky, three grandchildren and their spouses: Angela and Sean Johnson of North Lewisburg; Jeremy and Kristine Lewis of Springfield; and Michelle Lattimore of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Lauren and Shannon Johnson, Shelby and Taylor Lewis, Alexander and Brittnee Harris, and Kyle McWhorter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Menifee Lewis Jr., second husband, Lester C. Stewart, three brothers and one sister.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 6-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Friday at 2:00pm. Burial will be in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
