Samuel S. Studebaker, Jr.
Samuel S. Studebaker, Jr., 84, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Friday June 13, 2008. He was born December 22, 1923 in Troy, Ohio the son of the late Samuel, Sr. & A. Marie (Shroyer) Studebaker.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a 4-H advisor for over 25 years. He was a supervisor with the Miami County Soil & Water Conservation District. He was on the Miami County Planning Commission and Bethel Township Zoning Board. He worked the family farm his whole life.
He is survived by a daughter, Sara (Susie) Studebaker and her husband Jim Salamon of Loveland, Ohio; a sister, Nancy & Marvin Lynch of Bethel Township, Ohio; a brother, John (Abe) & JoAnne Studebaker of Richland, Michigan; aunt, Patty Dinsmore of Indianapolis, Indiana; uncle, Walter Shroyer of Cincinnati, Ohio; stepchildren, Terry, Barb, Dan and Becky Swaisgood; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wives, Norma Jean (Martin) and Pauline (Wise) Studebaker, and a son, Larry Studebaker.
A gathering of family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Monday June 16, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Ralph Royse officiating. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
