Shirley A. Spitler


Shirley A. Spitler, 70, of New Carlisle, passed away Friday February 1, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born in Dayton on September 6, 1937.

Shirley was devoted to her children and grandchildren, to her sister and nephews and nieces. She had a youthful outlook on life and a great sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by husband, Jerry E. Spitler.

Survived by four children, Brian of Orlando, Florida, Douglas and wife Sherry of New Carlisle, Jack of Hardinsburg, Indiana, and Debbie Wright of Springfield; a sister, Sue Belair of New Carlisle; four grandsons, Robbie Spitler, Timothy Fultz, Brooks Nawman and LCPL Michael Nawman, currently stationed in Iraq; two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 1:30 P.M. until the time of service Tuesday, February, 5, 2008 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, 507 West Jefferson Street, New Carlisle, OH. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton Foundation, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
