Ruby Stephenson


Ruby Stephenson, 93, of Springfield, passed away at 3:00 AM Friday, September 21, 2007 in her residence.

She was born January 4, 1914 in Wayne, West Virginia the daughter of Chapman and Recie (Dickerson) Ball. Mrs. Stephenson enjoyed working in her garden.

Survivors include one son William Michael Stephenson of Springfield, two grandsons; Mark (Lorie) Stephenson, Springfield and John (Sevgi) Stephenson, San Francisco, California, one great granddaughter; Amanda Stephenson, Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William M. Stephenson in 1993, two sons Denver Ray Stephenson and Gary Neal Stephenson, one brother Homer, two sisters Ruth and Edith, her daughter in law Carolyn Sue Stephenson and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Ray Kaffenbarger officiating. Friends may visit with the family for two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
