Robert Lee Shope


Robert Lee "Bob" Shope, 59, of Springfield passed away Monday, November 10, 2008 in his home. He was born January 2, 1949 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Pauline Shope-Schaper of Springfield and the late John Shope.

Bob enjoyed deep sea fishing while living in Florida and he enjoyed watching NASCAR.

He is survived by his mother, a daughter, Kelly and Eric Curtis of Piqua, a son, Rob and Tammy Shope of Enon, and a sister, Dale Back, three grandchildren; Colton Curtis, Jacob and Jason Shope, along with numerous close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Cecil Shope and a bother-in-law, Samuel Back.

Bob asked that his family spread his cremains during a private service to be held a later date.

Adkins Funeral Home, Enon is assisting Bobs family with his final wishes.
