Patricia Lee Sykes was born in Harriman, Tennessee on November 1, 1947. She graduated from Sunbright High School in 1964.

She is survived by her mother, Lucy Hickman-Greer, her brothers, Thomas Hammonds and William Hammonds; her sister, Mary Griffith; her sons, John Sykes Jr., David Sykes and Mitchell Sykes; her daughters, Kerri Tyler and Sherri Mitchell; and grandchildren, Freddie Mitchell, Leslie Mitchell, Terry Mitchell Jr., Carl Meadows Jr. and Jessica Meadows.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, David Greer, and husband, John Sykes.
