Peter Nathan Stephens


Peter Nathan Stephens, 20, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in his residence.

He was born July 23, 1988 in Yuma, Arizona, the son of Scott and Maria (Tess) Stephens.

Peter was a 2006 graduate of Springfield North High School and was attending Clark State University. He was involved in Young Life of the Springfield community where he also served as a helping hand leader, and a member of the One 80 group of Fellowship Christian Church.

Peter's survivors include his parents of Springfield; sister, Sarah E. Stephens of Springfield; paternal grandmother, Opal Stephens of Manchester, Tennessee; maternal grandfather, Manuel Puri of the Philippines; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Stephens and maternal grandmother, Catalina Puri.

We were blessed beyond imagination for God's grace in sharing Peter with us these short years.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2643 North Limestone Street, Springfield.

A celebration of Peter's life will be held in the church, Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sam Bryant officiating.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
