Philip Anson Stabler
Philip Anson Stabler, 59, of South Vienna, passed away at 4:37 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in his home surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer. He was born February 3, 1950 in Springfield, the son of Melvin and Ruth (Bickle) Stabler.
Mr. Stabler enjoyed watching football, spending time in the outdoors and was a dedicated "Parrott Head". He had been employed as a truck driver.
Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years; Renee (Pollock) Stabler, three children; Jacob Stabler, Chad Jackson and Tiffany Jackson, his mother; Ruth Stabler all of Springfield, two grandchildren; Cade and Ashlynn, one brother; Richard (Connie) Hurn, Ft. Worth, Texas, one sister Maryann (Jim) Exum, Tyler, Texas, special friend; Lucy Perry, Springfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Mr. Stabler's good friend Tom Jensvold officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Regional Cancer Center, Community Mercy Hospice or to the Stabler family.
