Patricia A. Schlagle


Patricia A. Schlagle, 79, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2009. She was born on January 16, 1930, a daughter of Paul and Clara (Fleming) Sheerin.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; late husband of 51 years, Billie Schlagle; Brother, John Sheerin; sister, Mary Jo Sheerin; and niece, Kelly Pierce.

She is survived by nephew, Patrick Sheerin; 2 great-nieces, Rebekah Sheerin and Krystal Franks; great-nephew, Daniel Pierce and 1 great-great nephew. She is also survived by special friends, Cheryl Linkhart, Elizabeth Liethauser and Mike Peters.

Patricia loved to travel and had a passion for reading. She retired from Olan Mills as the Plant Manager in 1995 after 48 years of service.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 12-2 PM with a celebration of Patricia's life starting at 2 PM at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME- SPRINGFIELD. Chaplain Bruce Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
