Marley K. Shroyer


Marley K. Shroyer, 79, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday February 22, 2008.

He was born February 26, 1928 in New Carlisle the son of the late Bert & Viola (Musselman) Shroyer.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, New Carlisle. Past President of Ohio Farm & Power Equipment Retailers Assoc. and was in the equipment business since 1939. Marley was President, owner, and operated Shroyer Implement for over 50 years. He was a life long businessman, farmer and resident of Clark County.

He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Ted Shroyer and friend Julie Huddleston of Celina, Ohio, Carl & Billie Shroyer of New Carlisle; grandchildren, Paul & Christy Shroyer of Celina, Carie & Chris Pope of Greenville, Ohio, Cory Shroyer of New Carlisle; great grandchildren, Carson & Callie Pope, Olivia Shroyer; brother and sister-in-law, Homer & Dixie Shroyer of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Thelma Neff of Fairborn, Ohio; good friend and caregiver, Ann (Roe) Shepherd of Vandalia, Ohio; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (McClay) Shroyer on July 8, 2000; brothers, Verlie & Thurman Shroyer, sisters, Mary Bair, Luella Baker, Naomi Layman; grandson, Lee Shroyer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Ellis officiating. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
