Mary Joan Shoemaker
Mary Joan (Caulley) Shoemaker, 74, of Bellefontaine, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Mary Rutan Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Dayton on March 8, 1934, the daughter of the late Warren Alfred and Mary Mildred (Nace) Caulley. On November 2, 1974 she married Louis Neal Shoemaker in Rushsylvania and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1987. She also was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Jack, Floyd, and one sister Virginia.
Survivors include a son, Don (Debby) Lillard of Bellefontaine; daughters, Patty (Terry) Richardson of Urbana and Mary (Roger) Blair of Zanesfield; grandsons Greg Blair, Brad (Cathy) and Ryan (Samantha) Lillard, and Kyle and Matt Anderson; granddaughters Charla Blair and Trista (Harold) Elkins and five great-grandchildren; Trenton, Sheigh, Haylei, Brianna, and Kayden. Three brothers, Richard (Shirley) Caulley of Florida, Harry Caulley of Wisconsin, and Thomas Caulley of Dayton and several nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, she retired from Robbins and Myers, Springfield, Ohio in 1982.
A rememberance of her life will be held at the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 1002 E. High St., Springfield, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
