Mitzi Shackelford


Mitzi (Dotson) (Green) Shackelford, 49, of Springfield, passed away at 2:21 PM Monday, June 9, 2008 in O. S. U. Hospital.

She was born May 5, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio. Mitzi loved sewing and playing cards with her friends.

Survivors include her husband; Bruce Shackelford, three children; April Michelle (Roland E.) Rose, South Vienna, David Eugene Green (Darrell), Lebanon, Ohio, Coleman Wayne Shackelford, Springfield, three grandchildren; Hayven, Roland J. and Darrell Rose, bothers and sisters; Ronnie, Ricky and David Dotson, Sandi and Lew Eblin all of Springfield, Linda and Butch Hinzeman, Waynesville, Jennifer, Dayton, Cheryl and Charlie Farley of West Virginia, and Paul of Indiana, her in laws which include Grandma Shackelford, Glen and Mark Shackelford, Janet and Charlie Laudermilk, numerous nieces and nephews, special friends Cyndi, Jean and Janice, and special nieces Angie Martin and Paula Dotson.

She was preceded in death by her mothers Jean "Granny" Dotson and Helen Hinders, her special father figure; Joe "Boog" Brumfield, father in law Glen Shackelford Sr., Jason and Joshua Dotson and Jason Laudermilk.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Raymond Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mitzi's family.
