Miriam L. Seitz


Miriam L. Seitz, 80, of Springfield passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 in her residence following a brief illness.

She was born October 7, 1927 in Champaign Co., Ohio the daughter of Clyde and Cora (Albin) Baldwin.

Mrs. Seitz graduated from Lawrenceville High School in 1945. She was employed at Ohio Steel Foundry for 15 years and retired from Navistar with 21 years of service. Mrs. Seitz attended the International Pentecostal Church of Christ where she was active in Mission Work for many years. She was currently attending Emmanuel's Promise Full Gospel Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1031, Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed doing Geneology Research.

Mrs. Seitz is survived by one son and his fiancée, Mike Seitz and Freida Boettcher of Urbana; two daughters Cheryl Fleming of Conover, OH and Susan Nawman of Springfield; 4 grandchildren, Chrissy Fatzinger, Jay (Spring) Seitz, Scott (Heidi) Seitz and Mindy (Rick Bishop) Baugh; 6 great-grandchildren; Jonathan and Todd Seitz, Abby and Christopher Comstock, Tyler and Kaila Seitz; two of her many dearest friends, Darlene Cantrell and Nancy Graf; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Seitz in 2002, grandson, David Seitz, and four brothers, Elsworth, Lowell, Malcom and Wayne Baldwin.

Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 PM at Emmanuel's Promise Full Gospel Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 AM at the Church with Pastor Wally Mason officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Tremont City. The family is being served by the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel's Promise Full Gospel Church,
