Mary L. Salyer


Mary L. Salyer, 76, of S. Vienna, died Tuesday September 9, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center - East High Street Campus.

She was born October 1, 1931, the daughter of Paul and Isabelle Mangan.

Mary was an animal lover. She retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base after twenty-five years of service.

Survivors include three daughters and son-in-law; Jerri and Dennis Currier of Springfield; Joi Fisher of South Charleston and Valerie Leist of South Vienna; two sons, James George of Xenia and Jeff Salyer of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Nate and Elizabeth Honold, Emily George, Erin Neely and husband Jeff, Clint Fisher and fiancée Andrea Yannielli and Heather and Jeremy Leist, and Seth Currier; great-granddaughter, Mallory Neely.

Mary was proud of her wishes to be a part of the anatomical donation program at Wright State University Medical School.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday September 12, 2008 from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where memorial services will follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor H.C. O'Bryant, officiating.
