Jeanette J. Snaufer


Jeanette J. Snaufer, 94, of Springfield, passed away Saturday August 25, 2007 in Community Hospital. She was born June 3, 1913 in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Ella McCollum.

She attended Sinking Creek Baptist Church and later attended Springfield Church of Christ. She retired from the Elliott Company after twenty-five years as a Billing Clerk. Jeanette also belonged to the Springfield Township Fire Department Station 2 Ladies Auxillary.

Survivors include a nephew Robert W. (Beverly) Hodge of Paris, Illinois and a niece Margaret Ann Pearman of Clinton, Indiana. She will be sadly missed by two very dear and loving friends, Larry and Monica May of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Snaufer; daughter, Nancy Jane Snaufer; brother, sister. Jeanette was the last of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday August 30, 2007 in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mike Surgenor, officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
