James C. Sartin


James C. Sartin, 65, of Springfield, passed away on September 26, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center - East High St. Campus.

He was born on September 12, 1943 in Vanceburg, Kentucky the son of Forrest C. and Hannah (Reider) Sartin. He retired from the Small Business Development Center after nearly twenty years. He was a member of the Union Club.

Jim is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Jamie Palmer of Springfield, Lisa and Bobby Miller of Tremont City, son and daughter-in-law, James C. Jr. and Reneé Sartin of Springfield, eight grandchildren: Jason, Chelsea, Cody, Cheyenne, Paige, Brooke, Shelby, and Brody, six great grandchildren, three sisters, special nephew, Rodney, special friend, Jimmy Smith, neighbors, Mike and Robin, and Alan and Kay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his longtime companion Nita, step son, Rick Wells, one sister, and four brothers.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
