Gregory E. Sagraves


Gregory E. Sagraves, 52, of South Vienna died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in his home following a several year battle with cancer. He was born October 25, 1956 in Springfield the son of Elwin and Jean (Ferguson) Sagraves and was a 1974 graduate of Greenon High School.

Greg was employed by Honda of America in the Weld Maintenance Department for over twenty years. He was a member of Straight Creek Church of Waverly, Ohio and was a competitive Trapshooter and member of the American Trapshooting Association.

Greg is survived by his parents of Springfield; his wife of thirty-two-years Rhonda (Davis) Sagraves; two sons and a daughter-in-law Benjamin and Libby Sagraves of South Charleston and Brian Sagraves of South Vienna; one sister and brother-in-law Bev and Mike McConnell of Bethesda, Ohio; two sisters-in-law Patty Davis of South Vienna, Sheri (Rick) Ehnie of Springfield; one brother-in-law Roger (Susan) Davis of South Vienna; the "love of his life," his granddaughter Lilly Sagraves; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Clayton Brooks officiating. Burial will be in South Vienna Cemetery.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Greg's many friends at Honda for their support throughout his illness and who affectionately called him "Big Dad."

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to Community/Mercy Hospice or to Harmony Township Fire and Squad.
