Donald L. (Don) Stout


Donald L. (Don) Stout, 83, of Hudson, Florida and formerly of Springfield passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in the Marliere Care Center in New Port Richey, Florida.

He was born December 4, 1923 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Wilbur and Agnes (George) Stout.

Don was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army with the 808 Tank Destroyer Battalion A Company 3rd Platoon and retired from the Ohio Air National Guard 269th Unit with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He also worked for the New York Railroad and the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #79, New Port Richey, Florida and The Air Force Sergeant Association.

Survivors include his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Donald R. and Rosemary Stout of Lebanon, Ohio, James L. and Monika Stout of Springfield, Ohio and David M. Stout of Ludlow, Kentucky; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barb and Mark Zeller and Linda and Steve Plank, all of Springfield, Ohio; one step-son, Ronnie Wagenhals of California; one step-daughter, Nancy Bartley of Fostoria, Ohio; host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 37 years, Aletha M. "Sam" Stout in February of 2005; one son, William Stout; two daughters-in-law, Linda and Helen Stout; and one step-sister, Bette Ervin.

He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him as he brought so much joy into everyone's life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel with Fr. Rick Walling officiating.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
