Catherine A. Spigelmoyer


Catherine A. Spigelmoyer, 93, a lifetime resident of Springfield passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 in Community Hospital. She was born October 4, 1915 in Springfield the daughter of John and Nora (Claar) Cunningham.

Mrs. Spigelmoyer had been the Co-owner of the Silver Swan Restaurant and Motel.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sally A. and H. Owen Ward of Springfield; four grandsons Joe (Courtney) Ward of Cincinnati, Jeremiah, Benjamin and Bradley Ward, all of Springfield; two great grandchildren Allison and Alex Ward; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Spigelmoyer in 1980; two sisters Drusilla Mitchell and Elizabeth Baugh.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. E. Cary Simonton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
