Bruce E. Salser

Bruce E. Salser, 49, of Springfield died at 2:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 in Essex of Springfield. He was born July 15, 1959 in Millwood, WVA the son of Robert and Ethel L. (Flesher) Salser.

He had been employed as an arborist for several local tree service companies in the Springfield area. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors in addition to his father of Enon, OH, include four children, Nicole Carter, Robert Salser, Alexander Salser and Joshua Salser all of Springfield; grandson Nikale Jones; two sisters and spouses Teresa and Harold Logsdon, South Charleston, OH, Darlene and Danis Wooten, Springfield; three brothers Richard and Glenda Salser, Springfield and Brian and Catherine Salser, South Charleston, OH; John Snyder, WV and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Bruce was always telling jokes, was always happy and his infectious laugh kept those around him laughing too. He was kind and helpful to everyone around him; he never met a stranger he didn't like or wouldn't help, nor did he ever meet a person who didn't like him. Bruce was a comfort to his mother during her entire life and an even greater comfort when she became too ill to live alone. His passing leaves a hollow place in the hearts of many people in whose memories he will live forever. We love you Bruce. We will see you soon.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the Conroy Funeral Home with Rev. David Frank officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Enon Cemetery.
