Audrey Marion Schultz


Audrey Marion (Sarver) Schultz passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in her residence. She was born in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, June 13, 1919. Her parents were Irene (Rindy) Sarver and Ray Drexel Sarver who preceded her in death.

She graduated from Rochester High School and from the University of Minnesota and received her teacher's certificate from Wittenberg University. She started the program for adolescent parents in 1966 in the Springfield Public Schools and taughht in that program for 17 years. She served as President of the Springfield Planned Parenthood Organization, President of the Springfield Branch of the American Association of University Women, was a board member of the Young Woman's Mission , board member of the Civic Theatre, board member of the Lagonda Chapter of the D.A. R., board member of the former YMCA, was a member of the Neal Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, member of the Ohio State Retied Teachers System, a member of Mitchell Hills Club and Citizens for Water.

She is survived by her daughter Sue Rindy Arnold and her husband Jeffrey Arnold and her son Edward Ray Schultz all of Canton, Ohio. She is also survived by her niece and her husband Connie and Rollin Schultz of Raleigh, North Carolina, her nieces Dr. Kathryn Florio and nephews James and Jeffrey Florio and niece and her husband Kay and Don Stroud of Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Edward O. Schultz whom she married in 1940, her parents, her sister Ruth Sarver, sister Margie Florio Warner, brother in law William Warner, brother in law and wife Ray and Daisy Schultz.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park beginning at 11:00 AM Friday with Patricia Dorsey officiating. The family will receive guests for one half hour prior to the services. Memorial gifts may be sent to the donor's favorite charity.
