Wanda C. Romine
Wanda C. Romine, 89, of Springfield, died Thursday morning, September 4, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, High St. Campus following several years of failing health.
She was born in Lackey, Kentucky on February 22, 1919 the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Elizabeth (George) Chandler.
Wanda was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, George T. Romine; seven children, Charles A. Miller of California, George Miller of Springfield, Wally E. (Joyce) Miller of Mechanicsburg, Jim Miller of Illinois, Stephen Miller of California, Shelby Miller of California, and Mary Elizabeth (Hogie) Huntslagen of Illinois; seventeen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Edrey (Bill) Staley of Springfield; a brother, George Chandler of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean Salyers; two sons, Keith Miller and William Eugene Miller; a sister, Dorothy Chandler; and three brothers, William Eugene, Charles and Junior Chandler.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Rose Hill Burial Park with Pastor James A. Riley officiating.
