Milton S. Roberts


Milton S. Roberts, 90, of Springfield passed away Monday morning, January 26, 2009 in the Ohio Masonic Home.

He was born June 13, 1918 in Louisa, Kentucky, the son of Henry B. and Louvernia G. (Ball) Roberts.

Milton retired from the Bonded Oil Company with over 35 years of service and was a member of the Forest Valley Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Steve Carpenter of Piqua, Ohio; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Carolyn and Mark and Toni Roberts both of Springfield, Ohio; four grandchildren, Laura Bethel, Amber (Garrett) Asher, Stacia and Adam Roberts; five great grandchildren; one great great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 55 years, Mary L. Roberts in February of 2001; two sisters, Ella Dixon and Mattie Adams and six brothers, Chester, Ernie, Jay, Wilson, Ray and Earl Roberts.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Del Wallace officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio.
