John T. Ross


John T. Ross, 88, of Martinsville, Indiana and formerly of Springfield, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana died at 1:10 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2007 in Martinsville.

He was born November 8, 1918 in Springfield to John L. and Katherine (Murphy) Ross. He worked for General Motors in Indianapolis for 30 years retiring in 1979. He was a former member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, Elk's Lodge #51 and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.

He is survived by two children and spouses, Carla and Seth Lewis, Brownsburg, Indiana and Gerald and Kelley Ross, Martinsville, Indiana; six grandchildren, Carrie Klute, Emily Phillips, Katharine Lewis, Christina Nichols and Gerald J. and Jessica Ross; six great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L. in 2004 and three sisters, Mary Parks, Elizabeth McKee and Kathleen Hiler.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
