Everett R. Rutledge


Everett R. Rutledge, 95, of New Carlisle, Ohio went home to his beloved wife and his lord on Saturday, June 21, 2008. He was born November 21, 1912 in Kingman, Ohio the son of the late Earl R. and Nina (Harness) Rutledge.

He retired from WPAFB in 1981. He was a sixty-one year member of New Carlisle Masonic Lodge #100, also a member of Scottish Rite of Dayton and O.E.S; as well as a member for many years of the Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by four sons, Donald (Ruth Ann) of New Carlisle, OH; Ralph of Matthews, N.C; Roger (Carol) of Springfield, OH; and Richard (Sandy) of Springfield, OH; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great- grandchildren; nine great-great- grandchildren; one sister, Reva Davis of Atlanta, GA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie; son, Everett Jr; one granddaughter; two brothers, Isaac and Bill; three sisters Emma, Hattie and Lilly.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 PM with Masonic services at 7PM on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the Masonic Home Eastern Star Wing nursing staff for their compassion and care of their father. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church, 6370 New Carlisle Pike, Springfield, OH 45504.
