Virginia G. Oiler


Virginia G. Oiler, 78 of Springfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 13. She was born April 14 1930 Lucasville, Ohio the last of Thirteen children to Stanley and Lula Newman.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather Bob McIntire and her husband Donald R Oiler Sr.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and John Sheley, daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Dennis Alexander, son and daughter-in-law Donald and Darlene Oiler, grandchildren Melissa Sheley, Jason Oiler, Jennifer Oiler, Jill Oiler, Jon Oiler, great-grandchildren Andrew Oiler and Clairibelle Oiler and step-grandson Mike Frey.

She worked and retired from Springfield City Schools as a cook at North High School, volunteered at St. Vince DePaul and was a church member at Bowelsville Methodist Church. Her children would like to express love to her by thanking her for all of the music lessons, band activities, educations and athletic events thru out our school years. Donated her doll collection to the Animal Welfare League in memory of Charlie Charmin, Holly and Jingle.

Services will be Saturday at noon in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Rev. Stephen Beck officiating, where family and friends may call two hours prior to services. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Association or the Animal Welfare League instead of flowers.
