William Richard Norton


William Richard "Dickie" Norton, 86, passed away at 1:15 PM Monday, June 9, 2008.

He was born in Springfield, on October 10, 1921 the son of William and Ruth (Temple) Norton.

Since the mid 1970's he has resided at the Mueller Residential Center where he enjoyed work activities at TAC II and considered himself number one coffee maker as long as his health permitted.

He was preceded in death by his parents and only brother Robert Lee Norton.

He is survived by a nephew James (Pamela) Norton of Laveen, Arizona, a niece Dana (Larry) Moore and a sister in law Mildred Norton all of Springfield, and his devoted family of staff and friends at Mueller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Polack officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Internment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the Mueller Residential Center or to the Donor's favorite charity.
