Roger L. Nash
Roger L. Nash, 86, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2008 in Villa Springfield.
He was born June 4, 1921 in Springfield, Ohio a son of Robert L. and Mabel J. (Frye) Nash.
Mr. Nash was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. He was a Tuskegee Airman Radio Operator and Repairman. Mr. Nash retired from Defense Electronics after 36 years of service.
Roger leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 46 years; Rosemary L. Nash, two sons; John A. M. (Dianne) King of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and J. Wilson of Columbus, Ohio, three daughters; Debra L. (Michael) Harris of Columbus, Ohio, Diane L. Nash and Brenda Nash both of Fairborn, Ohio, four brothers; Robert (Lorain) Nash of Dayton, Ohio, Albert (Ruby) Nash and Donald (Joan) Nash of Springfield, Ohio and Leonard (LaBeth) Nash of San Diego, California, grandchildren; Lamont Nash, John A.M. King Jr., Kamarr King, Tishna King, Torrence King, and Richard Cunningham Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Leona and Lucille Nash and brothers; William H., Richard G. and Alan P. Nash.
Visitation will be Friday from 1-2 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Family Worship Center. Funeral services will follow in the church at 2 p.m. with Bishop Cecil A. Pratt officiating. Burial will be on Soldiers Mound, Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
