Jane E. Nathaniel


Jane E. Nathaniel, 72, of Cincinnati and formerly of Springfield, passed away peacefully at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Pennville, Indiana on September 17, 1936, the daughter of Floyd and Mary (Griffin) Paxson.

She had worked for Sheehan Brothers and later at Mercy Medical Center before retiring in 1999. She was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was active in Child Conservation League, Greenon P.T.A. and Greenon Boosters. She loved all animals big and small, playing the lottery and Bingo.

Survivors include her four children and spouses, Charles (Gayle) Nathaniel of Oscoda, Michigan, Doug (Lynn) Nathaniel of Centerville, Ohio, David (Sharon) Nathaniel of Columbus and Julia (Howard) Zuefle of Cincinnati; 12 adored grandchildren, Tonia, Tara, Tony, Jacob, Katie, Steven, Peter, Molly, Howie, Harper, Robb and Stacie; seven great grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Chris, Adam, Aaron, Garrett and Tallie; two brothers and spouses, Jim (Jackie) Paxson of Dayton and Joe (Cathy) Paxson of Covington, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joann Cook.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Teresa Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society 5201 Urbana Road, Springfield, Ohio 45502.
