Robert D. McWilliams


Robert D. McWilliams, 77, of Springfield died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus.

He was born in Springfield, Ohio on January 10, 1931, the son of Ora D. and Adeline (Fields) McWilliams.

Robert retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation as a road supervisor with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Machinist and Union Clubs. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and wife Ruth McWilliams.

His survivors include his daughter and son in law Patti & Harold Burton of Springfield; three grandchildren Deana & Ted Foster, Kim & Scott Bageant, and Richard & Yvonne Baker Burton; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 1:00 Pm in the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel with Pastor Joe Dillard of Beacon Street Church of Christ in Christian Union officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be one half hour prior to services. RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
