John L. Miller


John L. Miller, 73, of Springfield, died Wednesday April 2, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center - Fountain Campus.

He was born January 27, 1935 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Calvin L. and Treva L. (Hartman) Miller.

He served his country in the United States Army. John retired from Navistar after thirty-four years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8673 and a member of the Union Club and Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-eight years Ruby M. (Nawman) Miller; children, Shawn L. Miller; Jonica (Miller) Spencer Perkins; Jack and Barbara Cox; Johnny Miller and Roger Miller; grandchildren, Adrian Cox and Linsey Perkins; sister, Janet Smith of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday March 5, 2008.

Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
