Wilma J. Longino


Wilma J. Longino, 79, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord Monday morning, October 29, 2007 in the home of her daughter, Debra in Huber Heights.

She was born in South Charleston on June 1, 1928 the daughter of Alexander and Mary Frances (Faudree) Neff Sr.

Wilma was a graduate of Plattsburg High School. She worked as a secretary at Northwood Hills Country Club and previously at Springfield Laundry and Chakeres Theaters.

Survivors include three children and spouses, Debra and Leo Ferryman of Huber Heights, Lloyd Anthony "Tony" and Loraine Longino of Springfield and Robin Longino of Springfield; three sisters, Gladys (Frank) Vecchio, Marjorie Lane and Jessie (Ray) Bennett, all of Springfield; and a brother, Alexander (Marilyn) Neff Jr. of South Charleston. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Jeffrey and Paul Ferryman, Justin and Joshua Longino, Eric Whitacre, Julie (Mike) Hughes, and Stephanie (Norman) Merrill; three great grandsons, Colin Hughes, Joshua Shelton and Landon Merrill; numerous nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Gina Lane and Nicki Morgenstern; and her best friends, Burdella Weizenecker and Bonnie Kinsler. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Longino; two sisters, Louise Burris and Geraldine Paxson; and two brothers, Roger Neff and Boyton "Bud" Neff.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Chaplain Rick Clos officiating.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
