Katharine E. Lett


Katharine E. "Kay" Lett passed away peacefully December 2, 2008 at her home in Fairfield, CT. Kay was born August 9, 1914 in Springfield, the daughter of John and Carrie (Fahl) Worley.

Until moving to Connecticut in 2002 to be with her family, Kay had been a lifelong resident of Springfield. She graduated from Springfield High School and attended Wittenberg University. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church for fifty years and a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center for thirty years.

Kay is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jack and Janet Lett, Fairfield, CT; granddaughter Sarah (John) Hambrook, Cincinnati, OH, grandson David Lett, Fairfield, CT, granddaughter Carrie Lett, Fairfield, CT and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and John Lett, loving husband of sixty-three years. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Teresa Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
