Harold J. Leopard, Jr.


Harold J. Leopard, Jr., 81, of South Charleston went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2008 in Good Shepherd Village.

He was born in Urbana, Ohio on March 30, 1926, the son of Harold J. and Edna (Mefford) Leopard, Sr.

Harold was a member of High Street Church of the Nazarene. He served his country in the U S Army during World War II. Harold was the owner and operator of Leopard Plumbing from 1971 until 1996, when he went to work at Lowe's in the plumbing department, retiring in August 2007. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Mark Anthony.

Survivors include 4 daughters and one son, Victoria Keplinger (Steve Henry) of South Charleston, Alice (Richard) Lewis of Urbana, John Leopard (Dan) of Cincinnati, Lora (Randy) Sock of Roswell, Ga., Michelle Drummond of South Charleston; one brother Tommy (Betty) Leopard of Urbana; 8 grandchildren Amy, Kristie, Aaron, Amos, Emily, Grant, Garrett, and Isaiah; 10 great-grandchildren.

Many thanks to the staff at Good Shepherd Village for the love and wonderful care you gave our dad and to Community-Mercy Hospice.

A gathering of friends and family will be Monday from 5-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A celebration service of Harold's life will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the memorial home with Revs. Bret Layton and William E. Blain officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana at the convenience of the family.
