Ruth Lucille Kriegbaum


Ruth Lucille Kriegbaum, 76, of New Carlisle, departed this life to join her husband in the heavens on Monday February 4th 2008.

Lucille was born on June 6, 1931 to Charles and Ruth (Queen) Cooper.

She resided in Springfield until she married Robert (Bob) Kriegbaum on July 7, 1962. At that time she moved into the house she and Bob built on West National Road where she resided the rest of her life. Lucille started working as a waitress in her teens and continued working at various restaurants in the area until she retired after 30 years at The Mill Restaurant. She also was a Girl Scout leader for five years in the Donnelsville community. In the summer you would always find her tending to her many beautiful flowers.

Lucille leaves her daughters to treasure her precious memory, Ruth (Donald) Asper Sr. of Springfield and Joy (Gary) Johnson of New Carlisle; her grandchildren whom adored her, Tracy Stehle of Springfield, Lorn (Lora) Wheeler of Xenia, D.J. Asper of Springfield, Lori Campbell of Jamestown, Kyle Johnson and Erica Johnson, both of New Carlisle; and four great grandchildren, Mandy, Charles, Andrew and Madeline.

She will be reunited in heaven with her husband, Bob; son, Kenneth "Kenny" Wheeler; parents, Charley and Ruth Cooper; and two brothers, Billy and Donald Cooper.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A service to celebrate her life will begin Saturday at 11:00 with Rev. Diana Chamberlin officiating. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
