Randy Alan Koerner
Randy Alan "Tank" Koerner, 48, of Springfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday April 3, 2008.
He was born February 23, 1960 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Paul R. and Nancy J. (Mumma) Koerner.
He was a 1978 graduate of Northwestern High School. He was a sports fan of the Buckeyes, Browns, Reds and Northwestern Cross Country. Randy was employed by Pizza Hut. He was a supporter of Relay for Life.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Nancy and Fred Kauffman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and Dene Voorhees, Shelly and Jeff Canan all of Springfield, Robin and Rick Scruton of Boise, Idaho; step-sister and her spouse, Vicky and Jeff Snyder of South Vienna; step-brother and his spouse, Jerry and Kim Kauffman of Grove City; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul R.; wife, Laka Koerner in May 2004.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday April 8, 2008 in North Hampton Community Church, with services to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Welch, officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the North Hampton Community Church Building Fund.
