Edgar F. Kelsey


Edgar F. Kelsey, 83, of Springfield passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 18, 1925, the son of Raymond & Isa Pearl (Fielder) Kelsey.

Edgar retired from Schaefer's Bakery as a night foreman with 25 years of service. Edgar loved life to the fullest and was an avid bowler, fisherman, and trap shooter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Orville and Marvin Kelsey, sister Catherine Pillion, and grandson Shawn Hess.

Edgar has left to cherish his memory his wife of 55 years Barbara J. (Eaves) Kelsey, son Curtis (Bonnie) Kelsey, daughter Vickie Hess, grandchildren Jason and Holly Hess, and Fred Kelsey, great-granddaughter Morgan Hess.

Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the memorial home with Rev. Danny R. Miller officiating. Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
