Wilma Sue Janek


Wilma Sue Janek, of New Carlisle went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, April 17, 2008, after a long battle with cancer.

Sue was born September 21, 1934 in Morehead, Kentucky. Daughter of Homer Rice and Nola Skaggs.

Sue was a 50 year resident of New Carlisle and long time member of VFW Post 9966.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Janek and long time companion, Craig Frankson.

Sue is survived by her three children. Tina and Jimmy Perkins of New Carlisle, Rob and Emily Holmes of Virginia Beach and Sunshine Shafer of Huber Heights. Seven grandchildren, Michele Perkins, Mackenzie Perkins, James and wife Stephanie Perkins, Cole Perkins, Skye Perkins, Whitney Holmes and Carson Holmes. One great granddaughter, Sophia Marie Perkins. Two sisters, Bonnie Gierek of Huber Heights and Janet Eck of Virginia.

The family would like to give very special thanks to family caregivers Tina and Jimmy Perkins who were with her through the entire battle. Special thanks to Lisa Perkins for all your kindness and support. Thanks to Hospice Vitas caregivers Jonathan, Octavia, and Vicky.

A gathering of family and friends will be 11- 1:00 p.m. Monday April 21, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
