Rachel V. Jordan


Rachel V. Jordan, 87, a life time resident of South Charleston, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Community Hospital.

She was born in South Charleston March 4, 1921 the daughter of Mary McElroy and John Hodge.

Rachel was an avid golfer and was the only woman at Locust Hills Gold Course to have 7 holes in 1. She loved working in her yard and was retired from the Mears Wood Heel Company following 28 years of service.

Rachel is survived by good friends and care givers Russell and Jo Ann Wright of South Charleston and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Max, a son Richard, her parents, three sisters; Willarnetta Hopkins, Arwikia Powers and Rebecca Litchfield, five brothers; Paul, Charles, William, Jay and Richard Hodge.

At Rachel's request, there will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
